Who are the tutors?
Our tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check.
What area do Teacher Tutors serve?
Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.

Do you screen your tutors?
Yes. Every tutor on our site undergoes a thorough screening process by a member of our team. Additionally, we run a background check on all of our tutors. We take pride in getting to know each and every one of our tutors on a personal basis. We’re not a national chain and don’t aspire to become one. Our clients come first.
How much do your tutors cost?
Lesson prices vary depending on the level and quantity of sessions. Our rates are competitive and our localized service area allows our Education Director to match you on a one to one basis.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons take place in students’ homes, libraries and coffee shops. You can determine your preferred lesson location when speaking with our Director.
What if I’m not happy with my tutor?
If you are not completely satisfied with your first lesson, we will gladly find you another tutor or refund your lesson. Contact us within 24 hours after your initial lesson. We strive for 100% client satisfaction.
How do I book a session?
Lessons are booked by first contacting Teacher Tutors (973) 31- STUDY. We’re standing by to help you manage your tutoring schedule. Our booking systems will send you reminders prior to each session and allow you to make changes to your upcoming schedule as you go.
Is payment required prior to meeting with a tutor?
Yes. We require payment prior to your first session. All credits are fully refundable at any time.
Will I ever have to pay the tutor directly?
No. We handle payments so you and the tutor can think about what is most important, the tutoring.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major forms of payment including checks.
