Roberto, a master tutor, has been a teacher for the last 12 years for the Jersey City Public School District. He is a graduate of both Rutgers University and New Jersey City University where he received degrees in Psychology and Chemistry, respectively. Roberto has been fortunate enough to teach children from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. He loves sharing his knowledge of the sciences.

Ruth, a master tutor, has been teaching in public schools for many years. She loves working with students one-on-one because it is a great way to make connections and achieve success with the learning objectives. Ruth has a love for animals and the outdoors. In the past, she has had a variety of pets including horses, chickens, pigs, a cow, along with dogs and cats. Currently, she has just one pet, a rescue cat, named Cowboy.

Ryan, a master tutor, is an educator who graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a B.S. in mathematics along with completing her certification for teaching, as well as earning her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Montclair. She is certified in mathematics and currently teaches Algebra I, Algebra II, College Algebra, SAT Prep and Accuplacer Prep. She is a caring and enthusiastic educator looking to share her passion for mathematics and help students overcome their difficulties understanding the many topics that mathematics covers. Ryan has worked with a wide range of students and is dedicated to making sure each student reaches their full academic potential. In her spare time, Ryan likes to spend time outside, hiking, running, and completing other outdoor activities.

Ryanne, a master tutor, is a dedicated, innovative, adaptable teacher with a passion for education demonstrated by 11 years of experience in 3 different countries.

Ryanne most recently has taught 1st grade, 4th grade and 5th grade in New Jersey. She is an experienced Singapore math educator. Additionally, Ryanne has taught senior management professionals in Madrid, wrote Spanish curriculum and taught Spanish and ESL to Elementary level students. She also worked as the Senior English Language Teacher assisting k-7th grade students. In the UK, Ryanne taught k-5th grade students.

Saarah has over 10 years of teaching experience and enjoys working with students of all ages. She has been a STEM instructor for the last 3 years in New Jersey. She received her master's degree in Sustainability and Leadership and enjoys incorporating creativity in her classes. She is very passionate about taking care of the planet and teaching STEM related skills while making sure that her students are able to understand the material being taught on an individual basis. Saarah caters to her students' individual and unique learning styles in order to connect and engage with them in a meaningful and successful way. She enjoys reading and spending time in nature.

Sally, an expert tutor, has been a professional educator for the past three years. She has had the pleasure of reaching out to students ranging in all ages in order to assist them with algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and calculus. When she is not assisting students, she's always looking for new ways to expand her knowledge and teaching approaches with fun tactics in order to make the learning process beneficial to not only her but the student as well. Sally has hosted tutoring sessions, made quizzes and tests, and assisted with SATs on multiple occasions.

Shaneze, a master tutor, has been tutoring for over 10 years for students ranging in ages 8-25. She's tutored in math, science, language arts and standardized tests. In undergrad, she tutored science/pre-med majors and as a result of her students excelling, she was offered a position to be a part-time biology professor at Rutgers. She loves bonding and connecting with her students. She is extremely flexible and will adapt to the learning style/needs of each student. She also creates her own lesson plans and tests that format real exams!

Shari's passion for the study of literature, research and writing has been the focus of her career for over 31 years. She was a high school English teacher in Edison for 8 years. For the past 23 years, she has enjoyed being the librarian of JP Stevens High School in Edison. Shari is passionate about her work because she has the opportunity to interact with and instruct all of the students in the school. Her goal is to help students develop skills necessary to succeed outside of and beyond high school and become lifelong learners. Shari loves spending time with her now adult children! And, in her spare time, she reads, runs and travels.

Shellie, a master tutor, graduated from Pennsylvania State University, earning a B.A. in journalism and history. She is an experienced communications executive, former teacher, and adjunct college professor. Her talent is making complex concepts clear and bringing out the best in students challenged by their English courses and examinations. Shellie is available to tutor in all aspects of the English language and written communication: grammar and syntax; literature comprehension; research skills, writing and paper preparation. Shellie also tutors students to prepare for the English and written portions of the ACT, PSAT and ACT exams. Shellie's philosophy is to balance the student's short-term interest in a good grade with the essential long-term need for improving overall writing and critical thinking skills. A student should never become dependent on tutoring. Shellie's focus is to encourage students to think for themselves and to become confident in their own, improving skills.

Siobhan S, a Master Tutor, is a middle school science teacher with a bachelors degree in special education. She holds teacher certificates for elementary k-5, and middle school science, grades 6-8. She is also a teacher of students with disabilities, all with highly qualified status. Siobhan has five years experience teaching middle school science where reading comprehension is incorporated in many lessons. She has been tutoring for two years in science and math. Siobhan enjoys traveling and exploring different parks with her dog.

SiTian, an expert tutor, is currently an undergraduate student at Princeton University. She has over two years of experience working with both middle school and high school students. Her tutoring experience has primarily been in test preparation. SiTian started tutoring in her junior year of high school, working with local high school students in preparation for the SAT's. She spent the summer of her senior year of high school teaching SAT classes in Manhattan. She continues to work with individual students as a volunteer SAT tutor for local Princeton students. SiTian believes in working with students to determine what strategies best suit their learning styles. In her spare time, SiTian likes nothing better than a good book and a hot cup of tea.

Stephanie, a master tutor, taught grades 6-12 for over forty years in both public and independent schools. Stephanie taught English as well as Film Studies. Stephanie is an avid reader, loves film and developing her own photography skills. She also does needlework and is a teaching docent at a museum in New York City.

Stephen, a master tutor, is a scientist/teacher with over 4 years of experience tutoring middle, high school and college students. He has a B.A. in life sciences from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in immunology and microbial pathogenesis from Thomas Jefferson University. He teaches biology, physics and Earth science at the high school level, and has tutored in the sciences and math extensively. Stephen’s tutoring style is to make a connection with the student, creating a favorable environment for the student-tutor interaction. This allows for an easy exchange of concepts and a less stressful experience, while the actual tutoring materials will depend upon the student’s needs and learning style. He is very capable at explaining scientific theories and concepts in a manner making it easy to understand and remember. During his down time, Stephen enjoys reading, both playing and following sports, and enjoying pop culture.

Suezette loves working with students to help them achieve their learning goals and needs.

Tania, a master tutor, is a highly experienced, attentive, caring and motivated educator. She's had 11 years of teaching experience. She's taught 5th grade language arts, social studies and health. She's also taught 7th and 8th grade reading/writing. Her passion in her career is evident, it reflects in her delivery of lessons and in motivating students to be successful inside and outside the classroom. When she's not busy enriching young minds with knowledge, she enjoys teaching indoor cycling. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her dogs Sherlock and Watson.

Tarah, a master tutor, graduated UNCP, earning a B.A. in education. She is a professional educator specializing in reading and math. She has spent the last three years teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. Tarah has a strong passion for teaching children. Her number one goal is providing the best support to her students to ensure their growth and academic success. She also strives to assist with preparing them for their future. Tarah has experience tutoring 2nd through 5th grade.

Thomas, a master tutor, graduated from Rutgers in 2014, earning his B.A. in mathematics has been teaching/tutoring students since his junior year at Rutgers University. He has worked with students from 3rd grade through 12th grade. He currently works at Cedar Grove High School where he teaches honors geometry, algebra II, and pre-calculus. Math has always been a subject he's enjoyed teaching because although it looks intimidating, it can be so simple when taught properly. One of his great enjoyments is seeing that "light bulb," moment when a student understands a concept and begins to challenge him or herself. He always encourages his students to ask questions and never wants them to be afraid to admit they do not understand something. He loves being able to build connections with his students and find out what they like outside of the classroom. In addition to teaching and tutoring, Thomas also coaches girls soccer and spring track. Sports were a big part of his life growing up and he greatly enjoys being able to share his knowledge with his athletes.

Tom, an expert tutor, is a graduate of Montclair State University. Specializing in social studies education, Thomas has been committed to providing students with engaging lessons and has worked with many different grade levels. Through Montclair State University, Thomas has learned a vast amount of techniques to best serve his students. Thomas has also earned his graduate degree from Louisiana State University in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to social studies education, Thomas has also worked as a writing and reading coach for college students, helped individuals obtain their GED, and tutored students in preparation for the SAT/ACT. Thomas is currently working as a teacher in Livingston, NJ. In his spare time, Thomas likes to read, play volleyball, and do volunteer work with various charities.

Uri, an expert tutor, has a B.S. in industrial engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, an M.A. in Bilingual Education, and a teaching certification in mathematics. He has taught at Perth Amboy High School and is currently teaching in the Elizabeth Public Schools. He also has experience working as a substitute classroom teacher in Middlesex County for grades k-12.  Uri tutors mathematics and Spanish to children and adults of all levels. He loves to cook, watch movies, listen to music, and travel. Uri has an extraordinary amount of patience as a teacher and enjoys finding each student’s ideal learning style.

Valerie, a master tutor, is a certified elementary and special education teacher with 8 years of tutoring experience. She has a B.A.Ed. from Rider University. She also earned a special education k-8 certification from Centenary College. Lastly, she's earned an M.A. in educational technology from Marygrove College. She has training in Orton-Gillingham and Wilson multi sensory reading programs. She has taught in both general education and special education settings (self-contained, resource room, in-class support and inclusion.) She's worked with students from kindergarten through 8th grade in diverse, blue ribbon New Jersey school districts. Currently, Valerie is a learning specialist at Golda Och Academy, working primarily with students in kindergarten and 3rd grade. She specializes in providing differentiated instruction and making the appropriate accommodations to meet the needs of every student. This allows them to build confidence and reach their fullest potential. In her spare time, Valerie loves to read, jog, and go hiking.

Valeryia, a master tutor, earned her degree in Sociology from Belorussian State University in Minsk, Belarus. She also studied Sociology and Philosophy at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. When she moved to the US, Valeryia furthered her studies by earning a Masters in French at Montclair State University. Veleryia is a very experienced teacher and tutor in both French and Russian. She has taught on both the high school and college levels, and looks forward to working with students to further improve their foreign language skills.

Vashanna, a master tutor, is an educator who graduated from Albright College with a B.S. in psychology. She is a certified elementary teacher (k-6.) Vashanna has been teaching 3rd grade for 5 years and has worked with a wide range of students. She is dedicated to creating lessons that ensure students reach their academic potentials. In her spare time she loves to dance and read. Her favorite childhood book is Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume!

Vasileios, a master tutor, has more than 10 years of experience as a full-time Professor at prestigious institutions of higher education, such as George Washington University, Baruch College, Stevens Institute of Technology and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, an M.Sc in Finance and a B.Sc in Mathematics.
Vasileios has taught Mathematics, Statistics and Economics/Finance at all levels, both undergraduate and graduate levels. He enjoys teaching all Math subjects, as well as the quantitative and analytics sections of GRE/GMAT/SAT tests.  Aside from teaching, Vasileios also worked in the Financial Industry as a Quantitative Analyst, Data Scientist, and Econometrician.  

Wendi, a master tutor, graduated from Keene State College, earning a B.S. in elementary education and geography. Wendi has a mission as a certified and highly proficient teacher with 25 plus years of experience (including 17 years in a top performing school district,) to not only guide, but to engage her students in making their way through the world. Wendi specializes in English/language arts. She believes that all students can become active learners in all aspects of their lives. Wendi builds her students' self esteem through respect, compassion, and understanding, so that they will have the highest regard for themselves. This enables them to face any situation head on in a positive manner and with a positive outlook. Through Wendi's motivation, encouragement, and enthusiasm, she instills in all students to recognize that they are capable of learning new solutions to challenges they face daily. Wendi communicates, through her students, that with these empowering skills and high expectations they set for themselves, that they can achieve their goals. Wendi wants all her students to know that success is for everybody who is believed in. Wendi wholeheartedly, without a doubt, believes in each and everyone! Wendi also believes that a teacher is forever learning and growing professionally. Wendi has implemented the best strategies from some of the best in the educational field, such as Jen Serravallo's reading and writing strategies books and Lucy Calkins' Units of Study in Reading and Writing workshop. Wendi is trained yearly to administer the PARCC test and highly adept in PARCC practice.

Zak, a master tutor, graduated from Montclair State University with his Masters in Pure & Applied Mathematics. He has been tutoring children and adults of all ages since 2010, with a focus on mathematics, but has experience with many additional subjects as well, including grammar, science, and SAT prep. Since 2016, Zak has been teaching college math classes in various locations, like Montclair State University, Kean University, and to the incarcerated population in the NJ prison system through Raritan Valley Community College. He really enjoys connecting with students and is constantly seeking new ways to explain concepts so that the ideas click with each student's unique way of thinking. Outside of the realm of math, Zak is a language enthusiast and an aspiring polyglot, always working on learning new languages!
