Stephen, a master tutor, is a scientist/teacher with over 4 years of experience tutoring middle, high school and college students. He has a B.A. in life sciences from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in immunology and microbial pathogenesis from Thomas Jefferson University. He teaches biology, physics and Earth science at the high school level, and has tutored in the sciences and math extensively. Stephen’s tutoring style is to make a connection with the student, creating a favorable environment for the student-tutor interaction. This allows for an easy exchange of concepts and a less stressful experience, while the actual tutoring materials will depend upon the student’s needs and learning style. He is very capable at explaining scientific theories and concepts in a manner making it easy to understand and remember. During his down time, Stephen enjoys reading, both playing and following sports, and enjoying pop culture. Vicente, an expert tutor, was born in Lima, Peru, where he obtained an B.S.E.E. from the National Engineering University Lima-Peru. He later earned an M.S.E.E. and M.B.A from NJIT in Newark, NJ. Ryan, a master tutor, is an educator who graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a B.S. in mathematics along with completing her certification for teaching, as well as earning her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Montclair. She is certified in mathematics and currently teaches Algebra I, Algebra II, College Algebra, SAT Prep and Accuplacer Prep. She is a caring and enthusiastic educator looking to share her passion for mathematics and help students overcome their difficulties understanding the many topics that mathematics covers. Ryan has worked with a wide range of students and is dedicated to making sure each student reaches their full academic potential. In her spare time, Ryan likes to spend time outside, hiking, running, and completing other outdoor activities. Miguel, an expert tutor, is a graduate of Hudson County Community College (HCCC) with an A.S. in Physics, and is in progress of receiving his B.S. in Physics from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Miguel has tutored college level mathematics and physics at HCCC as well as volunteered as a tutor for struggling high school-age students. He has a true love for mathematics and physics along with all the enthusiasm that comes with it. He strives to help students learn concepts while building their mathematics ability so that they can apply their understanding to a wide array of problem types and problem sets. In his leisure time, Miguel enjoys studying, playing guitar and piano, illustration, and photography Paul, a master tutor, graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a B.S. in mathematics and certificate in secondary education. He is a passionate high school math teacher and is currently a third year teacher at Dover High School. He teaches geometry, algebra II and calculus. Certified to teach all math grades 6-12, Paul also has experience working with gifted and talented students. He has been tutoring students in multiple areas of math such as algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, calculus, geometry and statistics. He is extensively familiar with SAT math prep, PARCC testing and the Common Core math standards. Paul has numerous hours of professional development; specifically from the graduate school at Drew University. Born abroad and taught in private Montessori schools, George is a native British English speaker and can tutor in both UKSE (United Kingdom Standard English) and GenAmSE (General American Standard English). He has taught grades 7-12, from foundational Language Arts to Honors and Pre-AP courses. He currently teaches Honors World Literature, Honors American Literature, and Journalism. He has worked with the NJ Department of Education on its most recent state curriculum revision committee in 2018 and has presented workshops on student-centered learning with the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English. He was awarded the 2018 Teacher for the Dream Award by NJCTE for his advocacy in increasing the representation of people of color in humanities and education programmes. George is experienced in tutoring students to succeed in high stakes tests, such as the NJASK, HSPA, PARCC, SAT, and Advanced Placement exams, specializing in writing composition and analysis of informational texts. His favorite genre to read and teach is the essay. He loves helping students find their voices and strengthen their command of the written word. Amanda, a master tutor, has an M.Ed. from Rutgers University, as well as an M.A. in international affairs from the American University of Paris. Amanda is a passionate, creative and energetic teacher of French with an extensive background in ESL. As a teacher, she works closely with her students to make sure they acquire not only the material at hand, but also the skills needed to continue learning on their own. Amanda has been teaching in the classroom for 10 years on 3 continents in various countries including the U.S., France, China and South Korea. She has been the teacher adviser for the French honor society, the book club and the soccer club. She has tutored students in preparation for the SAT as well. Amanda is also an avid fan of history and literature. In her free-time she enjoys travel, reading and visiting museum exhibits. Dean, a master tutor, hopes each student will discover academic enjoyment. He started tutoring in high school, continued as a college student attending the University of Pennsylvania, and has been one ever since he graduated and returned to the New Jersey area. He previously taught SAT, ACT, and SAT Subject Test preparation courses and worked for Montclair State University as an Upward Bound Summer Instructor introducing incoming students to college-level English. Dean focuses on one-on-one tutoring but is just as comfortable teaching in a small group and classroom setting. When not tutoring students, Dean works full-time as an IT professional for a global exposition company. In his free time, Dean serves as an adult literacy volunteer and teaches digital literacy courses for individuals with limited exposure to technology. Tom, an expert tutor, is a graduate of Montclair State University. Specializing in social studies education, Thomas has been committed to providing students with engaging lessons and has worked with many different grade levels. Through Montclair State University, Thomas has learned a vast amount of techniques to best serve his students. Thomas has also earned his graduate degree from Louisiana State University in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to social studies education, Thomas has also worked as a writing and reading coach for college students, helped individuals obtain their GED, and tutored students in preparation for the SAT/ACT. Thomas is currently working as a teacher in Livingston, NJ. In his spare time, Thomas likes to read, play volleyball, and do volunteer work with various charities. Erin, a master tutor, attended Cornell University and majored in Mathematics. Immediately after graduation, she moved to Washington, DC, to work towards her Masters in the Art of Teaching at American University with a focus on Secondary Math Education. Since then she has been teaching middle and high school math. Erin recently moved to New Jersey, where she is now teaching high school Mathematics. She loves mathematics and loves to share that passion with her students! Gerald, a master tutor, is a retired high school teacher. Gerald spent over forty years teaching various subjects in two high schools; everything from Math and Science to History and even Latin and Spanish I. During this time, he also tutored helping numerous students gain a better understanding of the material, pass their courses, and regain their sense of pride and confidence. Since retiring from full-time high school teaching, Gerald has taught GED/HSE classes in all four subject areas. Gerald is currently an adjunct professor at Saint Peter's University as well as Hudson County Community College, where he instructs in both the Sociology and the Education Departments. Vasileios, a master tutor, has more than 10 years of experience as a full-time Professor at prestigious institutions of higher education, such as George Washington University, Baruch College, Stevens Institute of Technology and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, an M.Sc in Finance and a B.Sc in Mathematics. Josh, a master tutor, received his B.A. from the University of Maryland and a M.A. from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He then began teaching middle school math in NYC. After seven years in an urban setting, he began teaching at a suburban private school in 2012. He loves to present math topics in different ways to meet different students' needs; nothing pleases him more than after several attempts, a new approach is met with, "Oh! Why didn't you teach it like that in the first place?" Ken, a master tutor, has become a seasoned high school educator over the past 15 years. His students really like his unique and encouraging teaching style. Through his many years of enjoyable teaching experience, Ken can easily make a difficult lesson not so difficult. He believes strongly that every student has the potential to reach success if shown the right method to achieve it. Tom, a master tutor, is a highly skilled mathematics teacher with more than 7 years of tutoring experience. As a Mathematics teacher in Ramsey, Tom has taught students of all levels and differentiates instruction to meet the needs of his students. When Matt is off in the summer, he has worked as an English teacher in France, and for the past 2 years works for a company called Rein Teen Tours, where he supervises teenagers on a summer adventure touring the world. Matt believes that all students should have an interactive learning experience, and makes learning fun so students strive to become life long learners. Matt is adaptable in any situation and rises to any challenge presented. His goal is to ensure his students are confident in their abilities. When Matt has free time, he enjoys traveling, learning about different cultures, working out, and practicing mixed martial arts. Laurence, a master tutor, having graduated Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics, and Rutgers University with a B.A. in Chemistry. He started tutoring when he was fourteen years old. A neighbor asked him to help her daughter with pre-algebra and he obliged. He must have been good, because soon after, he was being asked by other parents to help their children with math and science. When he began tutoring, he discovered that he enjoyed helping other people learn. Laurence has found that there is nothing more rewarding that seeing the light of comprehension click on in a student's eyes when they've suddenly understood something. By the time he graduated high school, Laurence had tutored more than a dozen people. Over the past twleve years, Laurence have enjoyed tutoring immensely. Soon Mi has a B.A. in secondary math education with a 3.58 GPA. She has wanted to be a math teacher ever since she was a sophomore in high school. Over the past 8 years, she has had experience tutoring students from grade 5 up until college. What started as private tutoring, soon became peer tutoring at Bergen Community College. After tutoring adults who sought to return to college or were taking online courses, she became a flexible and adept tutor; tutoring a wide variety of levels simultaneously. She has experience tutoring 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math; pre-algebra, algebra, and algebra 2; pre-calculus, advanced placement calculus AB; advanced placement statistics, and college statistics; high school physics (first year); geometry; and the math portion of the GED and SAT; as well as many college-entry math exams. Hasan, an expert tutor, earned his BA in Biology from Rutgers University and is pursuing a career as a dental professional. He is a tutor at his university's learning center and has experience as a chemistry lab teaching assistant. His favorite aspect of tutoring is being able to relieve a student of their worries and assure them that they are completely capable of comprehending the material if they simply dedicate enough time to practice. Vera, a master tutor, earned her MA in Education from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City. She is currently a high school math teacher in Middlesex County. Vera believes that everyone is ultimately responsible for their own learning, and that as a teacher, she has been given the opportunity to influence the motivation of students in the learning process. The goal is to maximize student achievement to the highest degree possible. As a passionate learner herself, Vera wants her love of learning to be contagious. A successful teacher recognizes the uniqueness and individuality of participants and thereby creates learning experiences appropriate to different styles of learning. Madhvi, a master tutor, holds a B.A. from Montclair State University in business administration, with concentrations in economics and finance. She also holds an associate's degree from Bergen Community College in mathematics. Madhvi is currently employed as the Mathematics Tutorial Supervisor at the Cerullo Learning Assistance Center (CLAC) of Bergen Community College. Her responsibilities include hiring, training, and evaluating peer and professional tutors of mathematics. Madhvi also has experience tutoring mathematics. In her spare time, Madhvi enjoys cooking, playing board games, reading, and traveling with family and friends. Sarin, an expert tutor, is a undergraduate at Rutgers Honors and Aureus Medical School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2009. He then proceeded to graduate medical school within the top 15% of his medical college graduating class in 2013. Sarin is passionate about teaching and would like to inspire, motivate, and teach students to become successful in their academic careers. Sarin tutors various subjects including advanced placement Biology, advanced placement chemistry, advanced placement physics, pre-algebra, algebra I/II, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, SAT math (Scored 800), ACT, GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL. He worked for Nextel, Sprint and AT&T for 16 years as senior RAN engineer and capacity plan manager. He has tutored high school students for the past 6 years in math and physics with great results.

Vasileios has taught Mathematics, Statistics and Economics/Finance at all levels, both undergraduate and graduate levels. He enjoys teaching all Math subjects, as well as the quantitative and analytics sections of GRE/GMAT/SAT tests. Aside from teaching, Vasileios also worked in the Financial Industry as a Quantitative Analyst, Data Scientist, and Econometrician.
When not teaching, Josh can be found reading, cheering on his Baltimore sports teams, engrossed in trivia, or more likely, playing with his two-year-old daughter.
