He is a co-author on a U.S. patent #20110158944, which describes a novel correlation between a mutation specific to the BRAF gene, and the sensitivity of specific cancer cells with the said mutation to an ERK1 or ERK2 or MEK inhibitor. He also has 10 scientific publications. Currently Marc teaches biology at a high school and college level at Bard High School Early College. Marc is the father of two children: a 12-year old daughter, and an 8-year old son. He enjoys reading, pitching baseballs, and playing his drums in his spare time.
