Elyse, a master educator, earned dual bachelor’s degrees in History and Psychology from Rutgers University, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Social Studies Education (K–12), building a strong foundation for her career in teaching. With over 17 years of experience, Elyse has taught American History, World History, and Psychology to high school students, and this year she is excited to add AP Psychology to her repertoire. Her areas of expertise include executive function coaching, organization and planning, analytic reading and writing, and comprehension in the social sciences. In addition to her work with high school students, Elyse has also supported elementary and middle school learners, helping them develop strong foundational skills and effective study habits. A Level One Google Certified Educator and trained Youth Mental Health First Aid responder, she brings both technological proficiency and emotional awareness to her teaching. Supportive and structured, Elyse empowers students to grow academically and personally by tailoring her instruction to their unique needs. Outside the classroom, she enjoys walking her dog, Acorn, staying active through exercise and yoga, and spending quality time with her husband and son.
