Carmen, a master educator, has over ten years of teaching experience in Essex County and is certified as an elementary teacher (grades K–6). He has extensive experience working with students aged 14–21 at one of northern New Jersey’s top private schools for students with autism and related challenges. Highly skilled in ABA‑based teaching methods, Carmen has supported high‑school students with special needs in functional mathematics, ELA, science, daily living skills, and social skills. He also designed and implemented a travel training program for adults with autism and served as a transition coordinator, developing work‑based learning experiences and guiding families through transition services such as guardianship, SSI/Medicare, and DDD funding. Known for his methodical, calm, and patient approach, Carmen combines attention to detail with genuine care for his students. As a parent himself, he teaches with empathy and compassion, always going the extra mile to help students reach their full potential and prepare for fulfilling lives. His sense of humor and supportive style keep students motivated and engaged. Outside of teaching, Carmen enjoys spending time with his wife and five children and playing the acoustic guitar.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.
