Clifford, a master tutor, earned his B.A. in Communications from Ithaca College, his MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University, and his Doctorate in Arts & Letters from Drew University. Known affectionately as “Professor Cliff” by his students at Montclair State and Bergen Community College, he has spent over twenty years teaching composition, creative writing, literature, and English at the college level. Approachable, patient, and creative, Clifford is dedicated to building genuine rapport with his students and adapting his instruction to meet each learner’s unique needs. His expertise spans essay writing, editing, language arts, and executive functioning, making him a versatile mentor for both high school and college students. Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
