Alex, an Expert Tutor, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University's School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Biological Sciences. While at Rutgers, he discovered his passion for teaching by tutoring peers in a range of STEM subjects and serving as a teaching assistant for a seminar in practical and applied psychology, where he mentored students in building effective study strategies. After graduation, Alex worked as a study coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, gaining valuable insight into research and clinical practice. He recently completed his M.S. in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rutgers University. Alex is a highly skilled tutor at the AP, CP, and Honors levels, teaching a wide range of subjects including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB, Life Science, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, History, Essay Writing, and standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, GED). He specializes in AP and college-level Biology and Chemistry, fostering deep understanding and long-term mastery of the material. Known for his kind, patient, and engaging approach, Alex tailors each session to his students' individual learning styles. His goal isn't just to prepare students for exams, but to equip them with the confidence and critical thinking skills needed for continued success in their academic journeys.
