Zaheeda D., Experienced Special Education Teacher

Zaheeda is a caring and experienced educator with 20 years of experience helping children grow academically and build confidence. She holds a B.S. in Computer Information/Management and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout her career, she has taught students from pre-K through eighth grade as both a classroom teacher and an inclusion teacher. Zaheeda provides personalized tutoring in reading, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and elementary math. She understands that every child learns differently, so she takes time to identify each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style. Lessons are carefully adapted to meet the child’s individual needs while remaining encouraging, engaging, and easy to understand. Parents can expect a patient and supportive tutor who will celebrate their child’s progress while helping them develop the skills they need to succeed. Zaheeda uses different teaching strategies, clear explanations, and meaningful practice to help students understand difficult concepts, strengthen foundational skills, and become more independent learners. Most importantly, Zaheeda creates a safe learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Her goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help every student feel capable, confident, and proud of what they can accomplish.
