Maria, a master tutor, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Architecture from Kean University and NJIT, and brings nearly five years of experience teaching Spanish from middle school through advanced high school levels. She also has extensive experience in one-on-one tutoring and is completing her program for standard certification to further support her students. Maria’s passionate, student-centered approach incorporates her Ecuadorian heritage to broaden cultural understanding, enhance language skills, and expand students’ global perspectives. Outside of teaching, she enjoys skiing with her family, going on outings with their dog Toby, and sharing her love of culture and language.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
